Yes, the airbag vest has been designed to be reactivated. Simply rearm it and reassemble a new cartridge by following the procedure described in the user manual. However, after a fall from a horse, it is strongly advised to check the appearance of the vest before using it again. If in doubt, consult your dealer or Equiline service to find out the state of wear of the fabric.
It takes a minimum force of 30 kg of dynamic traction for the ball key to tear off and the vest to inflate. Because of this, you will feel restrained on the horse. However, it is possible to trigger it while dismounting due to the height of the animal and the length of the strap.
By following the storage conditions detailed in the instructions, a cartridge can be kept for 5 years. An annual check is recommended by checking that the mass of the cartridge has not varied (take a scale and check that the weight of the cartridge is that indicated +/- 3%) and that the cartridge is neither rusted nor damaged. If in doubt, it is advisable to contact your dealer or the Equiline service.
No. To maintain your vest, use a sponge slightly moistened with lukewarm water without detergent, or a soft brush. Dry well in the open air, away from the sun. Never use a hair dryer, dryer or any other heat source to accelerate drying. It is strictly forbidden to clean and moisten the mechanism.
